We collaborate with component district staff, educational committees, parents, and community agencies to develop solutions that address the individual needs of students.

Skills USA
SkillsUSA is a student leadership organization available to all Career and Technical students. It is designed for the students and run by the students. The chapter chooses, plans and conducts its own activities.
As a SkillsUSA member, you will develop into a well-rounded person with technical, academic and "employability" skills, the skills that not only help you get a job but also have a successful career. In every meeting, contest, leadership conference and activity, you will be building these skills.

To access BOCES services, the first step is to contact your students teaching team and school principal. They can provide information on the specific programs available through BOCES and help you determine which services best meet your needs. Once you have an idea of the programs or services you're interested in, your district can guide you through the enrollment or referral process.
BOCES is the Board of Cooperative Educational Services. It is a regional public education agency which functions in New York State as an extension of local school districts. There are 38 BOCES statewide. All BOCES are governed by a Board similar to a local board of education. The CEO is the District Superintendent and BOCES employs school administrators to manage its programs, teachers, and instructional support staff to provide instruction and other specialists to provide technical assistance.
Jefferson-Lewis BOCES supports adult learners by offering career-focused education and training programs that lead directly to employment or certification. From high-demand fields like nursing, welding, CDL, and cosmetology to literacy, GED preparation, and online learning, BOCES provides flexible, affordable pathways for adults to gain new skills, advance their careers, or return to the workforce with confidence. Many programs also offer financial aid and job placement support.
