Students in the Pre-Tech Academy at the Bohlen Technical Center spent the holiday season learning the spirit of giving and community services, partnering with several local organizations in the Stockings for Seniors project.
Filling the stockings with donated items has become a holiday tradition for the BOCES program, which is open to high school sophomores in Jefferson County. The Stockings for Seniors program is spearheaded by the Watertown branch of Community Bank N.A. It involves collecting small snack foods, games, and hygiene products, which are then given to local senior citizens throughout the community.
Pre-Tech students also took the time to fill out Christmas cards containing messages of well wishes for the holidays.
